NEW MEXICO ABOLISHES THE DEATH PENALTY

Today Bill Richardson, the Governor of New Mexico signed into law House Bill 285 which abolishes the death penalty.

New Mexico is now the 15th state to have removed this extreme form of collective revenge from public policy.

	The Indiana Information Center on the Abolition of Capital Punishment (IICACP) exists to expose the injustice associated with the application of the death penalty in Indiana. IICACP is open to anyone who is opposed to the death penalty.
